Child & Family Therapist or Licensed - Posting #25107

Hourly Range: $ 31.32 to $ 34.32

Position Summary:

Sea Mar Child & Family Services Program in Seattle is seeking a full-time Child and Family Therapist for our brand new Clinic located within the Sea Mar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture in Seattle. The Seattle Adolescent Medical Clinic is located on the second level.  The Child and Family Therapist provides individual and/or family therapy, case management, crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and may lead groups.

In this position you will provide behavioral health services in an innovative multi-disciplinary outpatient medical setting designed specifically to address the whole health needs of teen and adolescents. The Therapist must meet the whole health needs of teens including body positivity, substance use, gender care and reproductive health.

In addition, the therapist will provide referrals and coordination with medication providers, primary physicians and other community partners. The Therapist must have the ability to accurately diagnose mental health issues and develop treatment plans based upon diagnosis.  Must be willing to work later hours (after 5 pm) on some days, and will require work within schools or other non-traditional settings.

Qualifications and/or Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work which includes course-work in psychological diagnostics REQUIRED.

  • MUST meet WAC requirements for a Mental Health Professional.  

  • Experience with evidence based models and wrap around services preferred.

  • Preferred is a Child Mental Health Therapist.

  • Experience working with children and families required.

  • Experience working with teens preferred.

  • Computer efficiency preferred.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
