As an AMER Partner Solutions Architect, you will work directly with consulting and technology partners, leveraging your deep technical expertise and strategic business acumen to drive their success on the AWS platform. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with AWS engineering teams, influence product roadmaps, and share your knowledge with the broader partner community through thought leadership. Key job responsibilities

  • Ensure partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform

  • Lead architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud

  • Work directly with AWS engineering teams to advise on their roadmap, assist with architecture design, guide their implementation and help promote their services as a catalyst

  • Drive organizational technical initiatives from ideas to fruition including design, implementation, automation and scale

  • Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, and proof of concepts

  • Build relationships with senior technical individuals internally and externally to enable them to be cloud advocates

  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community

A day in the life

As an AMER Partner Solutions Architect, you will own technical engagements with a diverse portfolio of AWS partners, from startups to large enterprises. On any given day, you might be leading an architectural design session with a partner's engineering team, advising on the best approach to migrate a complex application to the cloud, or working with an AWS product team to ensure their offerings meet the needs of our partners. You'll also author technical content like whitepapers and blog posts, and represent AWS at industry events, sharing your expertise and inspiring partners to innovate on our platform.

About the team

The AMER Partner Solutions Architect team is responsible for scaling the discovery, development, and delivery of high-quality cloud capabilities for AWS customers with AWS partners. We work closely with AWS sales, partner, and engineering teams to ensure our partners have the technical support and resources they need to build successful cloud-based businesses. Our team's vision is to be the best place to build cloud-enabled business. As an AMER PSA, you'll be a key contributor to this mission, helping to drive partner and customer adoption, innovation, and success on AWS.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
