Aerotek CNC Machinist in Seattle, Washington

Job Opportunity: CNC Multispindle Operator $22-32/hr

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to manage and optimize production processes on our Index Multispindle machines. If you have a knack for problem-solving and a passion for maintaining high standards in machining, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up CNC Index Multispindle machines for medium to high-volume production runs.

  • Monitor machine performance and promptly alert your supervisor to any anomalies or issues for timely corrective action.

  • Proactively suggest enhancements to work methods and processes to improve efficiency and quality.

  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining excellent housekeeping practices.

  • Accurately complete and update all necessary documentation related to machine operation and production.

  • Participate in PCC Corporate Safety Training and other required training programs.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and strong mathematical skills.

  • Hands-on experience with basic measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, and bore micrometers.

  • Capability to read and interpret CNC machining programs with a fundamental understanding of common 'G' and 'M' codes.

  • Familiarity with Siemens controls for lathe machines is advantageous.

  • Previous experience with Index Multispindle machines is a plus.

  • Proficient with Fanuc controls; experience with Acme Gridley, Davenport, and New Britain machines is beneficial.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to operating and setting up Index MS-25 machines.

  • Tool grinding experience is desirable.

  • Ability to read and understand part drawings and apply GD&T principles effectively.
