Summary of Key Responsibilities

This position contributes to Starbucks’ success by driving the Global Cyber Security Group (GCS) towards the design, development, and deployment of key security services, as well as serving as a key member contributing to maintaining a resilient and protected cybersecurity environment. As a Cybersecurity Engineer Sr, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of Starbucks’ systems and data.

As a Cybersecurity Engineer Sr , you will…

· Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable, resilient cybersecurity services.

· Bring an “SRE” mindset to the team: designing and deploying solutions with automation in mind wherever practical.

· Facilitates remediation of threats by working with other cybersecurity and IT teams.

· Ensures documentation for managed platforms/services are detailed, thorough, and up to date.

· Acts as a mentor and escalation point for more junior members of the team.

· Participate as a key member in security incident response activities. Including on call support.

Job Qualifications:

We’d love to hear from people with:

· Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices

· Experience with technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems

· Experience with security frameworks and compliance requirements

· Proficiency in implementing and managing security controls and technologies.

· Knowledge of network security protocols and concepts

· Familiarity with operating systems and network architectures

· In-depth understanding of enterprise-level cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, and technologies

· Proficiency in conducting security assessments and audits.

· Ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures.

· Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, Go, Python, Ruby, C++, or C#.
