LOCATION Seattle, WA (Hybrid) FIND OUT ABOUT THIS ROLE AND OUR MISSION TO CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE The Database Administrator at Plymouth Housing is responsible for development and implementation of the Plymouth Housing Group Data Warehouse. This role oversees the management, customization, and synchronization of all Plymouth Housing databases with the PHG Data Warehouse. This role involves designing database applications, performing data cleaning, generating reports, and ensuring data integrity and security. The Database Administrator also plays a critical role in collaborating with staff at all levels of the organization, vendors, and external programs to maintain seamless database operations and adapt to evolving organizational needs. Plymouth Housing is a nonprofit organization that develops and operates permanent supportive housing for single adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. With apartment buildings throughout King County, Plymouth is helping the most vulnerable members of our community leave homelessness behind forever. As part of our strategic vision, we are building internal behavioral health services and transforming our systems to address rapid growth and the changing needs of residents. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING IN THIS ROLE AT PLYMOUTH HOUSING Database and Data Warehouse Management: Develop and implement the PHG Data Warehouse, integrating data from various sources. Collaborate with software vendors, IT, and Data Analytics staff to configure and maintain databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). Design and customize applications to track programs and activities. Oversee data ELT processes, including migration and data entry. Ensure data security, including PII and HIPAA compliance. Maintain access control, audit records, and system security. Develop and manage backup and recovery plans. Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance. Diagnose and resolve data warehouse issues. Data Integration and Adaptation: Integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse. Adapt the database to meet evolving organizational needs. Modify the database for new programs, funding changes, and compliance requirements. Data Integrity and Security: Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data warehouse configurations and policies. User Support: Develop user manuals, policies, procedures, and training for end-users. Serve as the primary contact for vendor updates and troubleshooting. Collaborate with IT and Data Analytics staff to ensure data stability and accessibility. Support data-related needs of stakeholders.
