This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As the Fluids Systems Test Engineer, you will be part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers to lead the design of a fluid system on a reusable launch vehicle. You will engage in all levels of the design cycle of mechanical and fluid system components including conceptual design, requirements, system modeling, layouts, structural analysis, modeling and drafting, manufacturing and integration support, test definition and mission support. You will help develop the necessary test plans, procedures, equipment and facility outfitting to certify complex fluid components and assemblies. Responsibilities: Develop test plans and procedures of the vehicle fluids and/or mechanical subsystems against program requirements Develop test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing Write test procedures and lead procedural red lines and updates during test campaigns Coordinate and direct other engineers, test crews, support equipment, outside agencies, and vehicle configurations for testing throughout vehicle production Integrate testing and operability features into new vehicle designs Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews Define and perform facility activation tests Manage overall responsibility for the test, the team, and the procedure Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations Troubleshoot anomalies real-time and provide solutions during non-conformance scenarios Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, aerospace, or aeronautical engineering 5+ years' proven experience with a background in space vehicle testing, servicing, and operation Experience with developing, writing, and updating test procedures Hazardous testing, with a strong safety record Leading test teams as a Test Conductor or Test Engineer Maintaining and operating fluids and/or mechanical systems hardware Remote vehicle testing on console Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electronics/control systems Data acquisition and control systems Familiarity with aerospace vehicle systems and manufacturing technologies Working successfully in multiple subject areas Experience with ordinanc
