Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Real Estate Professional to serve as the Mega Project Acquisition and Relocation Lead in the Seattle area. The primary purpose of this project position (limited duration) is to assist WSDOT -- Northwest Region (NWR) staff in delivering the I-405 project per a predefined schedule in accordance with Federal, State and WSDOT regulatory and policy requirements. Under limited supervision, this position primarily performs project management by reviewing the work on assigned projects and coordinates the workflow of appraisal, title, acquisition, property management and relocation consultants as they acquire the real property and/or property rights required for WSDOT's projects under the Uniform Relocation Act. This position is expected to operate as a project manager by coordinating and facilitating the Right of Way (ROW) acquisition process. The position will work with multiple project engineers and members of their design teams to assist in identifying the property needs for WSDOT projects. This position requires a strong understanding of the functions performed by the Title, Appraisal, Acquisition, Relocation and Property Management disciplines in the Real Estate Services office. This position directly supports WSDOT's mission to provide an integrated, multimodal transportation system through efficient acquisition of the property and or property rights needed to accomplish projects. This project position is expected to last up to 10 years.
