Amazon Senior Program Manager, Finance and Business Integration in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager to join our Finance and Business Integration team.

This position supports and can directly influence the launches of Amazon’s global business initiatives related to process improvements and transformation in the Worldwide Leasing space. This leader will work closely with the global financial systems team, global business teams driving lease transactions, global accounting operations teams, tax and others who represent the accounting organization to various stakeholders. In this role, the candidate will be part of a team that collaborates with business, finance and technical teams to deliver world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible. This person will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements and prioritize.

Successful candidates will have deep experience in the following three disciplines – Accounting, Program Management and Finance Systems. Candidate experience should cover financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges is expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.

Key job responsibilities

  • Owns and manages the lifecycle of a high impact, complex and cross-functional program where the business problem and program strategy may not be well defined.

  • Identify and drive implementation of process and technology improvements that can be leveraged globally within the lease accounting organization.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for, and represent, lease accounting functions with teams across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or CMA or CPA

  • PMP

  • Familiarity with lease accounting guidance within ASC 842 and IFRS 16

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
