AWS Systems Manager team is looking for you - a curious and motivated engineer building a great user-experience for our customers around the world. We own a large-scale distributed Amazon Web Service that helps our customers manage and operate their own applications and infrastructure in the cloud.

Key job responsibilities

• You are passionate about defining and creating brand new products and services that will radically improve customer experiences in key strategic areas

A day in the life

• Analyzing the architecture and build process of a service to propose / make changes for fully automating the infrastructure management and deployments

• Implementing solutions to fix/mitigate single point of failures, bottlenecks, and unreliable dependencies

• Thinking big on behalf of our customers to influence and extend our product roadmap

• As an experienced developer you will mentor junior engineers.

• You will be part of a SCRUM team that regularly delivers well-tested and reviewed releases and responds quickly to customers’ needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
