Then you might be just the candidate that the Nebraska Department of Labor (NDOL) is searching for to join our Reemployment Services Division as a Reemployment Services Administrator.
We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills to oversee the direction of reemployment and training services administered within the division, with an emphasis on statewide employer programs. Location for this position can be housed at any of the NDOL offices depending on successful candidate's qualifications and will be determined between selected candidate and hiring manager.

Examples of Work
The Reemployment Services Administrator will oversee the development of program goals, priorities, and service delivery strategies to include Business Services authorized by the Wagner-Peyser Act; Worker Training Program; Registered Apprenticeship; Jobs for Veterans State Grant; Rapid Response; Foreign Labor Certification; Work Opportunity Tax Credit; and other programs as assigned. Develop program training materials. Oversee quality control and programmatic monitoring activities. Facilitate process improvement projects identified by the Director of Reemployment Services. Represent the Department on appropriate industry and economic development councils. Monitor fiscal expenditures of assigned grant awards. Analyze program performance, compile data, identify workforce trends, and complete required quantitative and qualitative reports as assigned. Work with State and federal representatives to ensure program compliance. Supervise 6 to 8 direct reports. This position will require limited monthly in-state travel.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in public administration, business administration, management, financial management, human services, social sciences, education or other related field. Three years' of experience with program management in either the public or private sectors. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERRED: Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, social sciences or a related field preferred. Background in strategic planning, particularly in the filed of human services. Certified in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher.
OTHER: Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: State and federal workforce development systems. Skilled in business and partner relationship building; developing grant proposals and performing grant management activities; public speaking. Ability to: supervise and evaluate staff; communicate effectively to present information to others; interact with diverse group.
