About the Role:

The Operations Manager is the person responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing the day-to-day on-site marina operations as they relate to boat movements, fueling procedures, boat rental activities, and the Ship's Store. He or she should be a hands-on leader with a focus on safety and ability to drive his or her team's performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective procedures and strategies. The Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring the safety and maintenance of dock structures and other lakeside facilities accessible to staff and customers. The primary objective of the Operations Manager is to ensure the marina is properly equipped with a competent and well-trained dockhand staff that is meeting of our high standards of customer service and the varying demands of the marina among seasons. The Operations Manager will also collaborate with the General Manager and other leaders to meet marina and interdepartmental needs and goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of marina operations to ensure smooth progress.

• Interview, hire, and train dockhands, logistics coordinators and logistics specialists to perform daily tasks for storage, fuel, rentals, and Ship's Store.

• Demonstrate and uphold a high standard of customer service that will be imparted to subordinate members of the team.

• Perform daily walks of docks to ensure safety, cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetics.

• Evaluate the efficiency of marina procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.

• Liaise with General Manager to make decisions regarding operational activities, set strategic goals, and discuss recurring issues, customer complaints, or inefficiencies.

• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate an efficient and high-paced workflow.

• Participate in monthly health and safety meetings, and quickly address action items that affect customer/employee health and safety.

• Supervise staff to ensure high-level customer service, efficiency, and safety; Provide constructive feedback.

• Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Performs dockhand and logistics duties deemed necessary based on staffing levels.

• Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.

• Attends and serves as representative, promoting Raving Fans Vision during boat shows and special events.

• Execute spill prevention measures and know the procedures to follow in the event of a spill of any magnitude.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED (Associated Degree, B.A. or B.S. preferred)

• Some prior experience and/or industry knowledge is preferred

• Demonstrated Leadership and excellent organizational abilities

• Outstanding communication and people skills

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Valid driver's license and MVR record meeting company standards

• Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and work safely around water or on a ladder

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Full Weekend Availability
