Business Development Senior Specialist will take the key role to lead the market development activities to capture emerging opportunities with a primary focus on lithium-ion battery and hydrogen segment. Defining and driving strategies with different cross-functional teams within organization to drive business growth is the main objective. This role will work alongside with functions to support, help implement, and drive key strategic projects that have significant impact on the Company. Main objective of this role is to provide expertise to the organization for sustainable growth in clean energy sector of major focus on lithium-ion battery and hydrogen segment including strategic direction and GTM model define based on competitive market analysis. Also inspire synergy within organization by bridging local and global teams. It is crucial that this person is able to build credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization and be viewed as a strong diplomat, often working under challenging circumstances and timelines.
What will you do?
[Growth Strategy & Market Development]
Execute on the vertical markets strategy by creating approaches of the Korea country model. This will include aligning the cross-divisional strategy to drive business growth linking towards full value chain of the clean energy sector.
Take a key role to build the strategic partnership with key accounts in the clean energy sector by delivering customer value proposition(CVP).
Build frameworks to expand Thermo Fisher’s portfolio through clean energy sector and new product offerings, developing organic and inorganic growth strategies.
Support in putting together a forward-looking growth plan for the clean energy sector. Recognizing external trends and opportunities thinking through implications, to identify and target newly growing market opportunities
[Competitive Market Intelligence and Analysis]
Finding new market opportunities across the Korea region derived from our Strategic Plan process for overall portfolio growth.
Keep the radar on clean energy sector and provides insights generated from market research, customer input, internal stakeholder’s feedback, and other means to ensure differentiated solutions, innovated marketing projects are delivered to market
Understand customer’s business strategy and competition landscape to create tailored strategy.
Anticipating driven threats or opportunities. Compiling valuable competitive intelligence that facilitates compelling value propositions differentiating Thermo Fisher from competitors.
[Business planning]
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, lead cross-divisional, global teams, work closely with the business, sales operations, other teams in the country, and local sales teams to deliver exceptional customer value while achieving the financial objectives of the business.
Develop mid and long-term segment business plan for the Lithium-Ion Battery & Hydrogen market.
Monitor and continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of strategy execution by implementing powerful business processes
Identify issues and drive improvement actions for business planning.
Stimulate the out-of-box thinking growth culture to influence on the business plan: Lead the best practice sharing and replicating successful market development model from one to another
How will you get there?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Chemistry or any Science related disciplines.
Or Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing or Business related major (MBA is preferred) with technology-based company experienced. (Analytical instrument company experience is plus)
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered
Experience:
10+ years professional experience of Business development and/or Account management (Sales) and Strategic marketing experience
Experience working for a global, highly-matrixed company in a scientific capital equipment, serving the sciences industry
Excellent at business development, sales strategy planning and execution with a strong results-oriented approach
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external key business stakeholders.
Commercial sensibility: ability to find and recognize growth opportunities and execute on them
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Good written and verbal communication skills required English
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiations skills.
Interpersonal relation and networking skills.
Should be able to work in matrix, multicultural and globally diverse environment.
Good knowledge and understanding of clean energy industry - Lithium-ion battery & Hydrogen market.
Ability to formulate, lead and execute business development strategies and developing strong business relationships with key stakeholders.
Ability to prepare business impact analysis and articulate business value propositions.
Dynamic and highly self-motivated individual.
Drive for results under the complex circumstance.
