JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager, Korea

DIVISION: Structural Heart

DIRECT REPORTING TO: Regional Marketing Manager – EMAK (Emerging Markets & Korea)

KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The position is to evaluate, plan and execute on bringing new innovative Structural Heart technologies and business models to the Korea Healthcare system. Working closely with our sales team, internal resources and physicians to develop marketing plans, strategies and messaging around Structural Heart therapies. Focused on market share, procedural share and top line growth for the overall portfolio (of all four franchises).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible to develop local product strategy, tactical and implementation plan, business intelligence (Competitive intelligence, market insights, etc) as well as organizing, executing and monitoring of MKG plans to achieve short and long-term financial objectives and business growth

  • Leads Korea level product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities through collaboration with EMAK Marketing, Country manager, and functional team based on thorough understanding of each franchise initiatives and regional resources that can be leveraged.

  • Interacts directly with APAC product managers to identify new marketing opportunities and to receive necessary support and guidance for marketing activities/programs

  • Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion

  • Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to market place based on the close collaboration with the sales team

  • Drive business partnership based on distributor management excellence

  • Responsibilities may also include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future e-commerce strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and providerecommendations for marketing promotions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Marketing experience in medical devices highly preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, with minimum of 12-15 years relevant marketing experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8+ years’ prior relevant experience

  • Proven interpersonal, presentation skills and business acumen

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills incl. financial modelling, forecasting & evaluating market data/ trends

  • Ability to travel up to 30%

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, quick thinker and decision making skills

  • Highly motivated and positive with “can do “attitude

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of Medical Device Regulations

  • Previous Sales, Marketing or Customer/Patient Support experience

  • Clinical experience in a Cardiac setting: Cardiac/Hybrid OR, CCU, IR Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab

  • Procedural experience with any of following: CABG, OPCAB, TAVR, PCI, DCB, Peripheral or Neurovascular interventions

  • Business Project Management, ability to multitask and work in a complex environment

  • MBA or Master’s Equivalent preferred.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle and process customer feedbacks/complaints/product experience in timely manner and according to Abbott Global Commercial Quality System, Abbott Medical Asia’s and Abbott Medical country’s policy and requirement

  • Execute the job responsibilities according to applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Global Commercial Quality System, Abbott Medical Asia and Abbott Medical Country Affiliate

  • Ensure applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Global Commercial Quality System, Abbott Medical Asia and Abbott Medical Country Affiliate are executed
