Program Summary

Job Summary

Documents medical treatment given, determines additional need for care not available, receives telephone or radio request for ambulance service/emergency medical service

Roles and Responsibilities

• Checks vital signs, performs emergency treatment, such as prepping patients for transportation, immobilizing fractures, etc.

• Documents medical treatment given.

• Determines additional need for care not available.

• Conducts follow-up task.

• Receives and distributes equipment, ensures available equipment is well maintained in correct quantities and stored correctly

Basic Qualifications

• Possess a current Spanish nursing license (University Diploma of Nursing [DUE]).

• Ability to understand and speak English

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience within the past twelve months in pre-hospital emergency medical care
