Essential Functions:
The overall purpose of this position is to perform accurate and on-time picking, packing and/or shipping of Botanical orders. The schedule/hours for the position are Sunday- Thursday (Start times vary from 9AM on Sundays to 1PM the rest of the week and work until Finish). Additional days/hours or adjustment to daily start time may change due to holiday or additional workload.
Picking orde rs using RF scanners or paper tickets
Packing Floral orders to prepare them for shipment
Performing Plant maintenance
Work Environment:
This position operates in a warehouse and green house environment (temperatures are warm to hot). The employee will utilize warehouse equipment such as Pallet Jacks, RF scanners, and box cutters.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and read. This position is very active and requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee must frequently lift/and or move items up to 50 pounds. The employee will also wear and use a scanning device on their wrist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Capable of working independently and as a part of a team
Able to work in a warm to hot environment for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, standing, pushing, bending, walking.
Friendly attitude, adapts to change in a positive manner
Warehouse and Equipment experience a plus, but not necessary
