Veralto Chief Financial Officer, Hach Greater China in Shanghai, China

Position Summary

This position requires an executive with deep experience in financial principles and business strategy development with the ability to navigate the requirements of a dynamic and complex organization. The incumbent will be involved in 'hands on' business and change management activities while providing leadership, direction and focus to the company's Finance department. The incumbent must be able to work as an effective business partner with the GM, Hach GC and drive synergies / efficiencies across the organization and have proven experiences in a large International Public Company.

The CFO is an active participant in senior management commercial strategy planning, financial planning and results review meetings, and is charged with providing concise, accurate, timely analysis of the key business trends and financial metrics reporting/analysis.

This position has the overall responsibility for the monitoring and reporting of the financial position of Greater China, provides clear interpretation of the results to effectively drive meaningful improvements and ensure that all reports are accurate and timely. This role will work GM in driving sales and profitability through development and execution of strategic growth and process improvement plans in a dynamic environment. To accomplish these goals, it will be critical for the CFO of Hach GC to build a best-in-class team that leverages the Veralto Enterprise System and is powered by Diversity and Inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support growing the Region’s sales, profitability and cash flow

  • Lead and manage the Finance function for Hach Greater China, developing efficient structures and strong capabilities in driving of a leading-edge Finance function

  • Support the business strategy by ensuring the provision of financial & business analysis and acting as a key business partner to the VP/GM and the leadership team

  • Responsible for monthly closing of Greater China’s financials, including developing and preparing and approving all financial reports, performance measurement, key indicator reports while providing needed information and analyses to efficiently run the business

  • Ensure appropriate internal financial controls are in place throughout Asia and ensure the ethics is managed effectively going forward

  • Own and manage the relationship with external and internal audit functions to ensure the appropriate controls are in place and to ensure swift action is taken to mitigate any control deficiencies

  • Enable business decision capability by providing top quality decision support analysis for internal clients

  • Coordinates the annual budget process as well as weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue and profitability forecasting. Effectively manage “cost control” through structured cost reduction programs

  • Developing high performance finance team in the region; developing profile of Greater China Finance team and building strong working relationships with other company’s functions

  • Work with GM to drive meeting all CVD targets including growth, operating margin expansion, quality, delivery, cost, associate retention, internal fill rate, working capital and return on invested capital.

  • Work with GM to lead and manage the annual operating plan and forecasts Operating within all budgets including achieving regional P&L.

  • Participate Ad hoc regional projects as required

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of directly applicable Financial leadership and experience

  • A full qualification in Finance i.e. Chartered Accountant, CPA or CMA

  • Detailed knowledge of business in Greater China

  • Exceptional ability in development of business strategies and strong mature presence

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem solving, decision making, project management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills required

  • Ability to work independently, anticipate and react to frequently changing business climate

  • Ability to work effectively across organizations and cross culturally

  • Highly skilled at organization and personnel development

  • Background in large matrix global organizations with success in driving process improvement

  • Proven track record of integrity and compliance in all business dealings

VES (Veralto Enterprise System) & Operations Excellence

  • Reinforce VES (Veralto Enterprise System) discipline and growth mind-set related to achievement of KPIs and establish a system of governance to strengthen the compliance culture and provide insights into the health of the organization.

  • Drive a culture of integrity and compliance ensuring adherence to the Veralto Code of Conduct and local country laws and regulations.

  • Provide monthly / quarterly input and guidance to Hach GC Leadership as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or similar discipline

  • A master’s degree is a plus

Language Capability

  • English

  • Chinese – Mandarin

Travel: E stimated to be at 20% of the time. No constraints on travel internationally
