Engineer, Engineering Plastics (001982)
- Under general supervision of the lab leader to perform routine scientific research tasks mostly using EP modification techniques, procedures and equipment.
- Analyze and document lab tests results, prepare technical reports, presentation and documents needed for timely updates of responsible project activities.
- Proactively adapt and optimize methods, procedures and workflow.
- Contribute to solution finding process within the scope of existing technologies and procedures.
- Gain and maintain familiarity with relevant current scientific literature and proactively making own suggestions.
- Close collaboration with all other EP colleagues as one team to work on the R&D projects and product development.
- Comply with Innovation Campus regulations concerning safety, health and environment safety practices during the daily operation and perform lab assignments (e.g. raw material inventory review, lab housekeeping) as assigned.
- Direct responsibility for the safety of new chemicals/raw materials brought to the lab.
Requirements:
- Education: Master or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science & engineering, polymer science & engineering.
- Working Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in conducting scientific experiments in lab (including study period); good technical knowledge on polymer processing and/or formulation; experience in engineering plastics would be plus.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, good English communication (reading, writing, and speaking) and strong hands-on capability on lab equipment operation.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point).
