= Objective =

We are looking for an accomplished and visionary Global Process Owner (GPO) for Book to Report & Tax Operations to lead and optimize our global Book to Report & Tax processes within our dedicated Process Excellence Team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in Finance & Controlling, Tax operations, process improvement and leadership.

As the GPO for Book to Report & Tax Operations, you will drive global consistency, efficiency, and compliance in our Book to Report & Tax Operations processes. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our organization's financial and business reporting, process efficiency and sustainability while leading a community of regional and local business process experts.

= Key Responsibilities =

• Process Ownership: Assume complete ownership of the Book to Report & Tax Operations process, encompassing general ledger accounting, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, period end cycle, forecasting, business and financial reporting, financial master data and interfaces to other E2E processes.

Serve as the primary point of contact for Book to Report & Tax related inquiries.

• Global Standardization: Collaborate with global, regional and local teams and stakeholders to establish and enforce global standards, best practices, and methodologies. Drive consistency in Book to Report & Tax processes across different regions and business units.

• Process Optimization: Continuously assess the Book to Report & Tax Operations process to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, waste reduction, and efficiency gains. Lead process redesign initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

• Strategic Alignment: Ensure that Book to Report & Tax activities are closely aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and communicate process strategies, KPIs, and success metrics.

• Risk Management: Develop and implement (internal) control measures, compliance programs, and sustainability initiatives within the Book to Report & Tax process. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.

• Technology Integration: Partner with IT teams to leverage technologies, automation solutions, and data analytics. Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance Book to Report & Tax capabilities and visibility.

• Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the process. Regularly provide performance insights to senior management and stakeholders.

• Change Management: Lead change management efforts associated with process improvements, technology implementations, and sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless adoption of new processes and tools.

• Talent Development: Mentor and guide a team of process experts within the Process Excellence Community (PEC). Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skill sets and capabilities.

• Main interface to GB and GD Process Owner community: Be the main contact person for all the existing process owners of GB and GD to ensure that AP specific process requirements and needs are fulfilled.

= Job Requirements =

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is advantageous.

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Controlling with a focus on global operations, process improvement initiatives, and leadership.

• Experience working in Agriculture is a plus.

• Process Excellence: Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives, implementing best practices, and optimizing processes for global organizations.

• Leadership: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and motivate cross-functional teams.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and detail-oriented approach to decision-making.

• Change Agent: Demonstrated experience in driving change management efforts and managing stakeholders across various organizational levels.

• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with advanced financial / accounting solutions and data analytics. Ability to leverage technology for process enhancements.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Global Perspective: Understanding of global operations, market dynamics, and cultural nuances.
