We may not have all the answers. But together, we're getting closer.The MFG Data SW Development Engineer is part of the Manufacturing Infrastructure, Data and AI Systems team (MIDAS). As a Data software engineer, you will develop software solutions that will collect, store, transform, and visualize manufacturing data including applied AI for manufacturing systems. The MIDAS team is chartered with driving 10X efficiency improvements in connecting our users to relevant data insights that enable oversight that help to drive corrective actions to product design, components, assembly, and test from component, module, SMT and FATP production. This role, although challenging, will leverage a diverse skill set and ability to work with the natural ambiguity associated with innovation.

Required Skills:

Manufacturing Data Software Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Development of software applications that improve data collection efficiency, transport, storage, transformation, and visualization.

2. Proficiency with multiple software programming languages and development environments (C,C++,Python, Java) , (React js) will be leveraged routinely to deliver benchmark solutions.

3. Responsible for driving applied AI/ML that is destined to transform how we scale AI into product manufacturing.

4. Work closely with other functional groups (TPMs, Electrical Engineering, software/firmware Engineering) clearly define user requirements for data transformation and visualization.

5. High degree of proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python & React js

6. Knowledge developing solutions in both Linux and Windows environments.

7. Bachelor's degree or equivalent + 6 years of related experience in manufacturing data collection & processing.

8. Experience developing scalable solutions in AWS environments

9. Knowledge in statistical methods (6s, SPC, Cpk) for data analysis in production control processes

10. Experience designing and executing development projects with a design of experiment approach (DOE) to service, troubleshoot, and solve engineering problems

11. Masters degree in software / AI related discipline (Computer science, Mathematics, etc…)

12. 10 years of related experience in manufacturing test development, data collection, transformation, and visualization.

13. knowledge of Networking, Servers, Firewalls, and security policy deployment, monitoring, and enforcement.

14. Multi lingual English + ( Mandarin, Vietnamese, Spanish) is desirable
