Philips Market Insight and analytics Leader in Shanghai, China

In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Build a high growth business that will help improve the lives of millions of people in China, while advancing Philips digital transformation journey as a global leader in Health Technology;

You are responsible for

  • The CMI leader will be an insights specialist and leader in the organization, with responsibilities of,

  • Taking a key leadership role, reporting directly to the consumer marketing lead whilst holding responsibility for day-to-day control of consumer insight and business intelligence related activities;

  • Develop methodologies and execute consumer insights projects with a strong understanding of an array of techniques across proposition development from insights and product ideation methods to pricing, communications and in-market evaluation;

  • Mine internal/external and primary/secondary sources of data (including big data from E-Commerce) and trends to create insights and to work collaboratively with headquarter corporate CMI, BMC Marketing and other cross functional teams to turn those insights into business building plans;

  • Ensure the integrity and correct interpretation of all CMI information;

  • Identifies actions to tap into identified Growth opportunities for the existing business;

  • Influences actions based on performance measurement to drive penetration and market share outperformance.

  • Ensures we win in market with more effective communication, better Marketing Mix and effective pricing;

  • Identifies and influences action to improve in-market and in-store executions to gain share by winning with shoppers and customers through superior understanding of trends and needs.

  • Strengthens partnerships externally and internally effectively to drive both the product category and online/offline channels, getting partners to strongly support the generation of timely actionable insights.

  • Strengthens and leads the CMI organization to achieve its objectives and visibly impact the business growth.

  • Contribute to the Developing Markets Area and Global organization and capability building, owning specific organizational project and capability expertise areas.

You are a part of

The Philips Personal Health Marketing Team. You will report to Consumer Marketing &D2C Head and collaborate with many other teams including Digital marketing, Marketing Manager and E-commerce etc.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 10+ years’ experience of CMI leadership in multinational Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), additional Research Agency experience leading a large multinational FMCG account is also highly considered.

  • Proven visible impact on business results. Ability to translate business challenges into business questions, learning plans, research designs, analysis and obtaining actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated experience and skills in Performance measurement, Marketing Mix Optimization, Communication development, Innovation, shopper and retailer actionable insights and research agency management.

  • Have completed in-depth insight assignments previously and have proven experience of managing consumer data within a prominent retail or wider consumer technology business;

  • Proven marketing insights specialist within a highly successful retail or digital environment;

  • Have grown career throughout a mix of insight roles, this experience could be gained within consumer retail, technology however we will also consider wider digital market place environments;

  • Strong English and Chinese communication skills, both written and verbal;

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Business, Computer Science, Communication or related disciplines preferred.

  • Results oriented, independent, entrepreneurial and self-motivated

  • Leadership and proven ability to influence business decisions and strategies while working with diverse teams.

  • Collaboration and demonstrated ability to overcome cultural and location barriers to work effectively with key business partners and stakeholders in a productive environment.
