Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.The Mechanical Supplier Quality Engineering (ME SQE) team works to ensure Meta receive best in class products from suppliers by driving continuous improvements to the manufacturing processes and quality controls. The team also supports some of New Technology Introductions (NTIs) in ARVR, Portal and Wearable products to support the realization of the company’s overall product quality strategy and vision. To accomplish these tasks, the team build and implement world class quality practices and processes to reduce risk and eliminate quality accidents.Meta is seeking ME SQEs to join the team and partner with internal XFN team & global manufacturers to drive world class manufacturing processes and outstand quality for Meta hardware products.

Required Skills:

Mechanical SQE Responsibilities:

  1. Drive multiple onsite and remote quality management activities with critical mechanical suppliers.

  2. Collaborate with internal XFN team (ID,CMF, PD,Eng.) to understand product design intent and develop product cosmetic improvement and qualification plan.

  3. Metrology design and qualification, including measurement fixture, inspection gauge, Auto Inspection Machine, MSOP, GRR, Correlation, etc.

  4. Drawing review and provide recommendations to PD for drawing update to achieving better product performance and high-level quality.

  5. Lead supplier on quality control planning and monitor execution at vendors.

  6. Lead part level qualification and OK2Ship review process.

  7. Lead the quality problem solving and RCCA processes.

  8. Provide supplier selection inputs and recommendations.

  9. Provide supplier business review recommendations (QBR).

  10. Work cross functionally to define problem statements, develop metrics, and collect data, and collaborate with internal and supplier partners to innovate quality improvements to supplier manufacturing and quality processes.

  11. Support cross-functional initiatives to drive cost, schedule, and manufacturing capacity improvements.

  12. Continuously improve working relationships with internal and external partners

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BSME or equivalent, mechanical related education background.

  2. 5+ years of supplier quality management in high quality industries, e.g., consumer and/or automotive industries.

  3. 5+ years of experience in mechanical manufacturing environment.

  4. Good communication skills in Chinese and English.

  5. Experience with mechanical enclosure manufacturing process such as injection molding, die castings, CNC, PVD, Anodizing, coating etc.

  6. Expertise in CMF, cosmetic criteria establishment and gap analysis.

  7. Expertise in drawing review, GD&T, TA. Etc.

  8. Expertise in metrology design and qualification.

  9. Expertise in general quality control process, e.g. 8D, SPC, MSA, DOE, APQP, PPAP, etc.

  1. Proficient in use of JMP, Minitab, Excel and related data analysis tools.

  2. Sub matter expertise, ability to contribute constructively to technical debate that leads to better product and/or process designs.

  3. People manager and/or Program Lead SQE experience.

  4. Ability to support up to 50% domestic and international travels.
