General Summary:

Manages and leads business and product market needs and translates those needs into required resource allocation and Product Marketing deliverables to meet the company’s business goals and objectives. Responsible for planning and integration in areas including branding, product marketing promotion campaigns and events, public relations, and digital marketing. Partners with members of the Product Marketing team, subordinate managers, and stakeholders to complete work that aligns with the company vision. Leverages knowledge of principles, best practices, and applicable market research to develop competitive product market strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 6+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

OR

High school Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Job overview

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced business manager to join the Product Marketing team in China to lead product, business, and customer engagement strategy, and marketing initiatives for several verticals of Qualcomm’s Industrial and Embedded IOT business in China. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IoT ecosystem and cellular, track record to grow new business, as well as out of the box thinking ability to create and implement new business models. The candidate will work with China leadership team, business unit, sales, and customer engineering teams at Qualcomm, along with regional partners, to advocate and drive new Qualcomm technologies into our IoT customer base, to match market opportunities with product requirements, as well as finding new business models and partnership to grow the business.

This is a critical role that require ability to self-motivate cross functional, highly matrixed organization across multiple discipline to achieve business results.

Qualifications

• 10 years of overall industry experience; with relevant experience in Product Marketing, Business Development roles.

• Strong industry connection in IOT ecosystem and vertical markets that includes, but not limited to module makers, Windows IOT, robotics or edge cloud businesses.

• Strong technical background in communications and AP technology and their applications in IOT.

• Strong technical background in OSes includes Linux and Windows.

• Ability to define business strategy and goals, find and establish industry partnerships to achieving these goals.

• Ability to work in a in a cross-functional, international team

• Excellent communication skills - Must be able to quickly understand complex concepts, simplify and translate them for a variety of audiences, and communicate them very clearly and effectively.

• Native fluency in Mandarin Chinese as well as exceptionally strong English language skill is a firm requirement

• Substantial experience working with external partners and customers is required

• Education Requirements: Bachelor or above, Major in EE / CS is preferred
