JOB SUMMARY

Assist Global Design MSB Project leader to lead and track project and design activities for Marriot Select Brand in terms of landscape design, interior design, architectural design, and electromechanical design by providing consultancy and training support to owners and designers. The position requires very good Mandarin/Putonghua language, highly technical translation skills in both speaking but specifically in writing. This person will also be able to call owners and consultants on a regular basis.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • Architecture design related education background is preferred.

  • A minimum of eight years of professional experiences.

  • Previous hotel projects experience is preferred.

  • Native mandarin speaker and good command of spoken English with technical translation capability.

Skills and Competencies

  • Must be mature.

  • Strong organization and communication skills.

  • Able to use “Microsoft Project”.

  • Strong team player.

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Lead assigned projects with tracking of project milestone, timely issuance of required design guidelines, tracking of brand standard deviations and project hot issues log, and updating of project schedule using the Microsoft project program.

  • Alerts Senior Management when certain project milestone is delayed or behind schedule.

  • Goes over the tracking reports with Senior Management and MSB Program leader on a monthly basis.

  • Requires Technical Chinese language translation from owners and from Project Directors.
