Little Creek Casino Resort Security Shift Manager in Shelton, Washington

The Security Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift which provides safety and protects all guests, team members and company assets. Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities. Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting. Assists Director of Security with compliance with Tribal --State Compact and departmental procedures. Assists in the training and in promoting the safety of guests and team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Security department. Implements all security functions on shift.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and gaming enterprise's internal controls.
  • Ensures that training and update training is being conducted on an on-going basis on shift.
  • Reviews and approves all Security Reports and other documents in a timely matter.
  • Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance.
  • Assist in creating effective and efficient schedules, while maintain labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons and team members and company property.
  • Respond to guests and team member concerns and complaints and solve their problems with professionalism and compassion
  • Responsible for security problems and develops solutions in coordination with management.
  • Assists in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives.
  • Observes patrons and employees participating in gambling activities to detect infractions of house rules.
  • Conduct regular security post inspections.
  • Authorized to use keys and has access to highly sensitive and restricted areas.  .

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree or Four years of Casino Security, Military or law enforcement experiences. 
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year as a supervisor required.
  • Previous security experience required. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Class III gaming license issued from the Washington State Gambling Commission (must be able to pass a background check - issued and paid for on site by LCCR). 
  • Valid Washington State driver's license with a good driving record and be able to provide a current driving abstract with the ability to be insured and bonded.
  • OSHA Training.
  • First Aid/CPR Training.
  • Defensive Tactics Training.

Salary Description

$26.74 hourly and up, based on experience.
