This exciting role offers opportunity to:

What you’ll do:

• Senior power electronics design and development activities,performs high-speed digital, analog, based on knowledge of the industry standards (i.e., UL, CSA, NEMA, etc.)

• Performs design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of analog, digital, and power circuits, including microprocessors, DSP’s, FPGA’s, sensor interfaces, and SMPS for the embedded systems and power converters

• Analyzes data to improve and optimize the designs.

• Generates necessary documentation (i.e.design documents, schematics, drawings, BOMs, etc.)

• Creates technical reports and presentations.

• Participates in developing new methods, procedures and design specifications for the electronics design.

• Collaborates with mechanical engineers, firmware engineers,PCB engineers and EMC engineers from concept to post-layout validation.

• Manages small complexity projects independently.

• Interfaces with other business unit engineers

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

BS in electrical engineering or equivalent ,Minimum 7 years of related engineering experience in designing, developing and testing analog, digital, and power circuits including gate drivers, sensor interfaces, micro-processors/controllers, DSP’s, FPGA’s, and SMPS.

Experience in circuit modeling and simulation with tools such as SPICE or Simplis

Significant hands-on experience with analog, digital, and power circuits development and testing

Strong understanding of circuit theory and signal integrity as it applies to circuit layout (e.g., PCB layout)

PCB layout experience and knowledge of PCB assembly process

Familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies and other standard EE lab equipment

Customer focused with good relationship building and communication skills

Ability to learn new skills, knowledge, industry, or products

Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with modern converter topologies, specifically isolated DC-DC converters (e.g., resonant, phase-shifted full bridge, dual active bridge)

Experience with high-speed digital design including PCB transmission line signal integrity simulations using IBIS models and power integrity / power distribution subsystem simulations

Knowledge of EMC standards

Experience working in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members
