General Summary

Working as a member of the Team, provides direct Supervision of skilled Tradespersons and Administrative Team members as they execute on contract requirements in the Government Healthcare Facilities Maintenance arena. Reports to Corrective Maintenance and or Preventive Maintenance Managers for the Operations and Maintenance Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of tradespersons across various disciplines.

  • Assign work requests to team members and ensure timely completion according to established standards.

  • Track progress of assigned tasks, providing guidance and support as necessary to meet deadlines and quality expectations.

  • Develop and maintain schedules for maintenance and repair work, optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.

  • Coordinate system outages in collaboration with relevant departments to minimize disruptions to operations.

  • Order necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned tasks.

  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and regulations within the work environment.

  • Provide regular reports on team performance, work completion status, and any issues or delays encountered.

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a maintenance or facilities management setting.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.

  • Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Knowledge of scheduling software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a trade or industrial setting.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or education in a relevant field is a plus

Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.

  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but not to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
