The Role: Director Energy & Resources Training

The Team: SPGCI Training offers cross-commodity industry fundamentals training to energy majors globally. Building on the success of our well-stablished chemicals training, we would like to expand in our Oil, LNG and Energy Transition training business among other areas.

The Impact: You will contribute initially to the winning and execution of training projects globally on Energy Transition topics and others that may arise. Projects typically leverage SPGCI data, research and expertise and cover energy topics including, hydrogen, renewables markets, carbon markets, energy transition in the oil & gas industry and ESG.

What’s in it for you: You will work with subject matter experts across the organization to originate and produce high-quality training courses and manage resources as required. During your projects, you will get exposure to market leaders globally and experts at all levels of major oil and gas and renewables companies.

Responsibilities:

Lead business development activities of senior colleagues, including:

  • Follow up with attendees public training courses to take to their corporations our private training offerings

  • Attend client meetings to help scope out customer needs and work plans

  • Develop high quality training proposals

  • Develop and deliver state of the art training, working with the lead content matter expert. This will typically require:

  • Participate in meetings with clients to understand training requirements

  • Identify internal and external information sources, gather, and synthesize data

  • Efficiently analyze data to produce training materials

  • Produce training materials, for clients

  • Present training materials to the clients.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10 years of experience in training, consulting, industry or finance environments

  • Experience related to low carbon technologies, carbon emissions, ESG/sustainability or oil & gas market analysis

  • Minimum qualifications are BSc. in engineering, finance, business or related field. Previous training or consulting experience will be a significant advantage

  • Strong written and oral presentation skills in English.

  • An analytical frame of mind with ability to use data to back up opinions.

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment providing ideas and open feedback.

  • Willingness to travel, average around 20-40% of time (could occasionally be more for specific projects)
