About the role
This position is for a Senior Manager, Plan & Spec that will oversee the planning and specification teams in Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HVAC project plans and specifications that meet both our rigorous standards and our clients’ needs. This strategic role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, as well as the specific requirements of the Singapore and Malaysia market and regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager, Plan & Spec, you’ll be responsible for:
Lead, manage, and mentor the planning and specification teams located in Singapore and Malaysia.
Oversee the development and implementation of HVAC project plans and specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with local and international standards.
Collaborate closely with sales, product development, and project management teams across the region to align project specifications with client requirements and company capabilities.
Drive innovation and efficiency within the team, encouraging the use of new technologies and methodologies in HVAC system design and planning.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that impact the HVAC sector in Southeast Asia.
Develop and execute strategies to enhance team performance, client satisfaction, and project success rates.
Represent Carrier at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing the company’s reputation and market position in Singapore and Malaysia.
Manage stakeholder relationships across projects, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving.
Requirements
We are looking for people who have leadership qualities and experienced in HVAC industry. If this is you, get in touch.
As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within the HVAC industry, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in Southeast Asia.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams across multiple locations.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles, and international standards.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Willingness to travel regularly between Singapore, Malaysia, and other locations as required.
