About the role

This position is for a Senior Manager, Plan & Spec that will oversee the planning and specification teams in Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HVAC project plans and specifications that meet both our rigorous standards and our clients’ needs. This strategic role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, as well as the specific requirements of the Singapore and Malaysia market and regulation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager, Plan & Spec, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the planning and specification teams located in Singapore and Malaysia.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of HVAC project plans and specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with local and international standards.

  • Collaborate closely with sales, product development, and project management teams across the region to align project specifications with client requirements and company capabilities.

  • Drive innovation and efficiency within the team, encouraging the use of new technologies and methodologies in HVAC system design and planning.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that impact the HVAC sector in Southeast Asia.

  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance team performance, client satisfaction, and project success rates.

  • Represent Carrier at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing the company’s reputation and market position in Singapore and Malaysia.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships across projects, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving.

Requirements

We are looking for people who have leadership qualities and experienced in HVAC industry. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within the HVAC industry, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in Southeast Asia.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams across multiple locations.

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles, and international standards.

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel regularly between Singapore, Malaysia, and other locations as required.
