  • Unit Demographics

  • 16-bed observational unit

  • Wide variety of patient types!!! Goal for patients is <2 days “Length of Stay”

  • Non-emergent chest pain, ERCP, TIA, kidney stones, 24-hour EEG, long-term trials, appendectomy’s, generalized dizziness and/or weaknesses w/o a known root cause

  • Preferred med/surg and orthopedics overflow unit

  • Preferred overflow unit for stroke patients – ALL staff are NIH certified, team works hand-in-hand with neurology providers

    Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.

    Work Schedule

  • Hours:

  • Registered Nurse - 7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a – varied 50/50

  • Every other weekend/holiday rotation – weekends are Friday-Sunday

  • Anticipate growth to every 3rd weekend/holiday by 1-year

  • Resource nursing professionals move up to every 4th weekend!!!

  • (3) 12-hour shifts per week

  • $3 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL is available for hours worked between 7p and 7a, $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights!!!

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $31.00 - $46.50
