POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly technically proficient and motivated resource to join our team as LMR Project Manager. As LMR Project Manager you will be the Customer's primary point of contact for a specific Program.

Additionally, this person will have a broad breadth of responsibilities, overseeing multiple projects or teams and will be held accountable for the overall outcome of the program, account and/or operations. In addition to having the ultimate responsibility for time, cost, and scope of individual projects, he/she has cumulative responsibility for all projects and operations within the program, account and/or operation.

As a LMR Project Manager you will be tasked with

  • Utilizing project management methodologies and tools to drive execution, accountability, and risk mitigation; achieve Schedule, Cost, and Quality objectives from inception through launch.
  • Demonstrating best practices for developing schedules and recognizes critical path.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, define resources, and required budget.
  • Reviewing and approving all project deliverables, providing oversight and observation of acceptance tests ensuring compliance with all contract deliverable requirements, representing the Prime contractor, and provides status reports to the corporate Program Manager and adhere to assigned corporate processes.
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Understanding unique communication requirements, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the engagement

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must have LMR experience as a System technologist, System Manager or Systems Engineer
  • Experienced with P25 public safety radio systems and their applications by customers
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communications skills, both orally and written
  • Must have strong Project Management and leadership skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50% or more of the time away from home and live at a project site for extended periods within the continental U.S. or international
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully apply advanced project management skill in such areas as customer relations, team building, matrix management, project planning, conflict resolution, and budget.
  • Able to manage complex teams with team members and customers remotely dispersed
  • Must have good technical writing skills and computer skills
  • Computer skills capable of working with databases, Outlook, MS Office and Project.
  • Knowledge and ability to use project management software is critical.
