Actalent Overnight Nuclear Pharmacist in Somerset, New Jersey

Position : Nuclear Pharmacist

Location : Somerset NJ

Shift: 11pm -7am

Role Overview: The Nuclear Pharmacist ensures the highest standards of radiopharmaceutical compounding, distribution, and quality control. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to regulatory compliance, contributing to the pharmacies reputation for excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Radiopharmaceutical Management: Oversee the preparation and distribution of FDG and NaF, ensuring adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with USP regulations (<797>, <823>, <825>) and state pharmacy laws, ensuring cGMP control and aseptic operations.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality control checks, manage documentation, and collaborate with the QA team to uphold SOFIE’s quality management system.

  • Safety Oversight: Monitor radiation and laboratory safety, addressing any incidents with prompt and effective solutions.

  • Process Improvement: Initiate and manage change controls, review procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to healthcare professionals, addressing inquiries and concerns with expertise and care.

  • Team Leadership: Train and supervise pharmacy technicians, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Pharm.D. from an accredited institution; nuclear certification is a plus.

  • Licensing: Valid state pharmacy license (or ability to obtain post-hire).

  • Experience: Prior experience in nuclear pharmacy, PET, radiation safety, or cyclotron processes is highly desirable.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in interpreting business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

  • Communication: Strong written skills for creating reports, correspondence, and procedural manuals.
