DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the supervision of an inmate work crew and ensuring work is performed under safe operating procedures. You will maintain the efficient operation of three boilers that generate steam to supply heat and hot water for the institution's needs. Your duties will include cleaning, maintaining, and performing minor repairs to equipment, testing water chemistry, and inventorying treatment chemicals.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours will be determined at the time of hire. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753 (before taxes). Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:
