The Role

We are re-shaping Technology to deliver a new vivid vision for Technology in Carnival UK by 2025. To enable the business to grow, evolve and transform from a traditional legacy estate, we are taking our thought leadership and practical delivery experience to help the business innovate through the application of leading digital technologies and agile methodologies.

As part of this we are looking to welcome a Product Manager within our Fleet based Technology team to drive the development and implementation of predominantly our POS products and services, through their full life cycle from design, test, implementation, and deployment.

You will

  • Prioritise product requirements, develops product and implementation roadmaps, and own the product backlog

  • Manages the product life cycle to meet customer/user needs and support the wider business in achieving financial or other targets

  • Leads implementation of products to the business including engagement with the shore and shipboard teams, directing user testing, and driving communications and training

  • Analyses market and/or user research, feedback, expert opinion, and usage data to understand needs and opportunities to develop the products.

  • Facilitates uptake of products by developing content, training materials, and monitoring product performance.

Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK07 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis. Due to the nature of our Product services being Fleet based, this role does require some international travel estimated at 20% of the time, the remaining time is Hybrid in our Southampton offices.

About You

Fresh ideas and different perspectives are what excite us most and help us to succeed. Alongside bringing these to the role, you’ll also need:

  • Previous full Product lifecycle experience as either a Product Owner or Manager, knowledge of Hospitality, Payment technology or travel operations would be an advantage but not essential

  • Excellent Stakeholder relationship skills, with the ability to thoughtfully consult and challenge, using clear and transparent communication

  • Understanding of Agile Methodologies

  • Flexibility to extensively travel
