Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant - Fixed Assets to join our global, Tier One Supplier, in SOUTHFIELD, Michigan. This role involves management of fixed assets, reporting, and compliance in accordance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will handle the full lifecycle of fixed assets and leverage large ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for asset data management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, transfers, and disposals, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

• Prepare and maintain accurate fixed asset schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of fixed asset management.

• Collaborate with international teams to ensure consistency in fixed asset accounting practices across the organization.

• Utilize large ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to manage fixed asset data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the system.

• Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts, preparing and presenting reports to senior management.

• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, auditors, and other departments, to address inquiries and provide information related to fixed assets.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar position

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Strong knowledge in General Ledger management is mandatory

• Ability to make accurate Journal Entries is essential

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary

• Familiarity with Fixed Asset Accounting practices is a must

• Understanding of Fixed Asset Depreciation is needed

• Should have experience working with Fixed Assets

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required

• Must be a team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
