Atlantic Health System Patient Care Technician I, HemOnc Morristown in United States
The Patient Care Technician I could be responsible for greeting and preparing for patients, managing patient flow, completing patient intake into EPIC system, and maintaining exam rooms including cleaning and keeping inventory/ordering supplies.
Principal Accountabilities:
Administrative responsibilities may include managing phones and scheduling patients when needed, patient registration and check-in/out, handling patient prescriptions and pre-authorization for diagnostic testing as well as directing patients in all phases of their experience with the practice.
The Patient Care Technician I could be responsible for assisting with the pre-operative testing and clearance workflow. This could include requesting applicable testing, scheduling appointments and remaining in contact with surgical patients.
This position may require extended working hours, including late evenings and travel among all of our current and future sites.
Required:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Two years medical office experience preferred
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
Patient, compassionate nature
Ability to operate as part of a team
Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems
