Pay: $16.28 - $20.93 per hour, depending on experience

Duration: Summer 2024, with flexible start and end dates to accommodate the selected student's academic calendar.

Job Summary

Work with the Electrical Panel Builders to build quality automated equipment by interpreting electrical drawings.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with building and wiring control panels
  • Read, understand, and interpret electrical drawings
  • Complete quality documentation for equipment production according to department and corporate procedures
  • Work with Designers, Engineers, other Panel Builders, and other personnel as required to effectively build quality equipment
  • Assist on mechanical assembly of power distribution panels, operator control consoles, and so forth
  • Install electrical conduit, pull wire, bend and install pneumatic piping, install motors, and perform other associated tasks of building industrial electrical/automated equipment
  • Assist with electrically and mechanically test, calibrate, and perform various quality control and process control functions on finished product
  • Work with panel builders to analyze and troubleshoot typical systems and electrical issues
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
  • Abide by company policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a college level Electrical program or related field of study

  • Prepares complete quality documents for assembled equipment

  • Coordinates with other panel builders as well as designers, engineers, and members of other departments as necessary

  • Receives specific direction on assigned tasks, and general review of all aspects of work

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job on Wagstaff premises, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well ventilated, climate controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.
