Job Role Summary

The Global Innovator, as part of the Fuels and Lubricants Digital group, is part of an elite team that leverages knowledge of evolving digital technologies, market trends, customer needs, and business strategies to identify and develop differentiable offers in the Fuels and Lubricants Company. The Global Innovator will be located in spring, TX and The Global Innovator works under the day to day direction of the F&L Innovation Manager, also based in Spring, TX.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Understands and interprets market, digital, regulatory, and consumer trends, assesses opportunities and threats, and communicates insights to relevant stakeholders

  • Assists in developing strategic recommendations for local, regional, and global studies to enable long-term success of the company

  • Leads cross-organizational development and delivery of innovative business models and/or offers in core, adjacent, and transformational spaces through use and socialization of approach and tools (from idea generation up to commercialization)

  • Ability to balance business near-term objectives with longer-term opportunities and advocates market-back, data-forward, partner-enabled solutions

  • Teaches others how and when to leverage innovation processes to accelerate breadth and depth of innovation in the company

  • Partners with external entities such as OEMs, startups, incubators, accelerators, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated work experience in B2B market pricing

  • Understanding of pricing principles/concepts as well as drivers/tactics: global markets, P&L drivers, competition, supply/demand, price vs volume, etc.

  • Sound commercial judgment with an understanding of P&L accountability and drivers

  • Strong team work competencies especially across geographies/cultures

  • Strong analytical & systems skills with the ability to turn data into informed insights

  • Outstanding written, presentation and oral communication skills
