HP Inc. Software Alliance Strategy Operations Manager in Spring, Texas

This role is responsible for driving software partner excellence within the Digital Services business unit. The role requires GTM marketing actions, implements partner management processes and tools, and executes on overarching software alliance strategies with cross functional teams. Additionally, the role includes overseeing collaboration with operations for analytical reports, actively seeking HP personnel and partner feedback, and applying software subject matter knowledge to contribute to complex projects, acting as a subject matter expert for process improvement, and driving initiatives forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with enablement, management, and partner teams to deliver a consistent, clear and actionable software partner strategy.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and resolve issues and challenges.

  • Foster a culture cross departmentally of innovation and creativity within software alliances. Encourage and support HP team members and partners alike to share ideas, knowledge, and best practices, while exploring new ways of creating value for the end customer.

  • Execute on software partner strategy with multiple stakeholders cross functionally, ensuring throughput of projects and initiatives.

  • Applies software partner subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies with strategic direction.

  • Oversees monitoring of MDF budgets and provides support in budget allocation by reconciling market program spend to the planned budget.

  • Leads and/or provides software expertise with functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring accountability and progress.

  • Implements partner processes and tools such as partner relationship management (PRM), channel engagement, ecosystem management or co-selling platforms etc while adhering to HP policies.

  • Champion software channel strategies and 'influence without authority' whether it be externally with partners or internally across the organization.

  • Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and participates in providing mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors in Business, Marketing or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 5-8 years of work experience, preferably in building and managing channel relationships within software industry.

  • Experience in building software go-to-market strategies or executing outbound software strategies a plus.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of channel functionality

  • Coach and communication changes to operating models cross functionally

  • Track record of developing and scaling successful partnership programs.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Establish priorities and successfully manage multiple projects and strategic relationships.

  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

  • Results oriented individual with a "can -do" attitude.

  • Growth mindset and focused on partner excellent.

  • Digital Fluency and ability to operate successfully in a highly matrixed, remote and in-person teams.
