Position Summary

As a Technical Product Manager within CVS Health's Digital Workplace area, you will be crucial in driving technical innovation and advancing our GenAI applications within the organization.

You will assist in designing and implementing our GenAI solutions for our colleagues, ensuring optimal performance, productivity, and collaboration for our employees.

This key role will help transform how our 300,000+ associates find information by transforming our internal knowledge base and enhancing employee productivity through RAG and GenAI. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled technical product manager, coming from an engineering background. You must be familiar with the technical aspects of creating microservices and working with Kubernetes. You should also have a strong technical understanding of LLMs, RAG systems, data science, and the process of developing data science products.

You should have 2-3 years of software development experience in an agile environment, having worked with complicated data intensive systems, and be able to translate user experience to backend functionality. You must be able to communicate technically with engineers. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty when needed and write code to understand data.

One of your key responsibilities will be to map out a high-value roadmap for data sources to be integrated into a large RAG system and prioritize potential sources with product frameworks. You will interview data source owners, understand the technical constrains of their system, synthesize complex information, and report your recommendations to leadership and your tech team.

You must be very curious about the intersection of GenAI and software development, actively seeking knowledge on cutting-edge tools. A proven ability for quick learning is essential in this fast-changing landscape.

As a Technical Product Manager on CVS’s Colleague Experience GenAI developer team, you will lead high-priority AI enterprise-level initiatives and work with the latest tools in the GenAI space.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of technical product management experience on a machine learning, data science, or data product.

  • Experience creating OKRs, and KPIs for data and backend products.

  • 1-2 years of experience creating roadmaps focusing on outcomes.

  • 1-2 years of experience with the software development processes web technologies, databases, APIs, and system architecture.

  • 2+ years of Agile delivery leading all the SCRUM ceremonies for a technical team.

  • 2 years of experience translating technical architectures into epics, features, and user stories in Jira.

  • Be a self-starter, who figures out what needs to be done without detailed instructions.

  • Problem solving: Strong analytical skills and detail orientation to identify issues and develop effective solutions, while considering strategic tradeoffs.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You put your team members first and are willing to help where needed. You can communicate at the appropriate technical level to VPs or engineers as needed.

  • Continuous Learning: An attitude of ongoing learning and improvement, staying updated with Machine learning and GenAI trends, tools, and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Excellent communication and planning skills.

  • Portfolio of LLM applications and sample projects.

  • 1+ years of LLM experience building RAG systems at scale (10,000+ documents).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related STEM field from an accredited university.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$97,335.00 - $201,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
