Position: Mobile Program Support Specialist

Location: Springfield, MA

Hours: 40 Hours per week; Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with flexibility for other days and hours as needed

Summary:

  • The Mobile Program Support Specialist will travel to assigned programs, to provide program staffing across a set of human services programs. The support specialist will serve as a floating member of each team delivering services at a high level of quality and compliance, to ensure program participants thrive beyond limits in line with our mission. "Programs to include: Day Habilitation, Clubhouses, Community Based Day Services, and Employment & Training Services."

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to program participants across a set of pre-determined programs as assigned.

  • Complete orientation, onboarding, shadowing, training and other tasks and assignments to learn program models, procedures, policies, standards, protocols.

  • Practice and uphold all agency and program policies, procedures, practices, protocols and standards to represent Viability and our programs positively.

  • Establish positive working relationships with team members and maintain professional, courteous interactions.

  • Communicate fully, timely and appropriately as needed with other members of the team.

  • Pitch in to assist where needed and otherwise work as a member of each team.

  • Follow the directives and instructions of the program supervisor, director, and/or Vice President for the region as to your assignments and tasks for the day.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of direct experience supporting individuals with disabilities, and other disadvantages required

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Enjoys variety, highly adaptable to change, able to organize and orient themselves in different environments.

  • Working with individuals with disabilities or other disadvantages is their happy place, a source of high satisfaction.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and ownership of responsibility for their choices/actions.

  • Thinks critically about their options and the impact of their choices.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with independence – integrity, goals driven, uses resources effectively, takes initiative.

  • Demonstrates alignment with our mission and values. Relevant lived experience.

  • Ability to effectively work within an electronic record software.

  • Excellent problem solving, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills required
