FIT Staffing Software Development Support Specialist in Springfield, Massachusetts

SPRINGFIELD CONTRACT TO HIRE Software Development Support Specialist Our longtime client, an Employer of Choice in New England, is seeking an outstanding Software Development Support Specialist. This person will respond to customer\'s issues by analyzing the application\'s data and determining root cause problems. These issues may be programming or data issues. As the customer\'s application software is complex and data driven the person must be an expert with SQL (or T-SQL) and be familiar with programming skills in C# and/or Java. This role is a Level 2 support role and will interface with the Level 1 representatives who take customer input as well as the Project Manager and other team members. The position is a contract to hire role and the role is hybrid with some onsite work at their office in Springfield MA. This is 12-month contract with possible extensions if necessary. Responsibilities include: Understand functional specifications and be proactive in gaining clarifications. Work with the project manager to review and refine Statements of Work including project scope, milestones, and timelines. Analyze program logic and data base requirements for the assigned project. Work closely with vendors to support, upgrade and maintain systems. Create programs and processes to support the integration of vendor software solutions. Consult with and seek assistance from the project manager on any obstacles or issues encountered and proactively identify issues that will impact completion of work. Test, debug, implement, and conduct user, Operations, and Helpdesk training. Provide Quality Assurance testing for other members or IRT. Develop and maintain project documentation using current templates and guidelines. Research and resolve any issues assigned by the Helpdesk. Ensure the resolutions are approved and recorded in the Helpdesk for future reference. Provide off hours support as required. Assure that departmental or company policies pertaining to electronic protected health information (ePHI) are adhered to. Requirements: Must have bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent experience. Must have experience with T-SQL and batch process development. Must have experience with programming in C# or Java. Must possess strong analytical, problem solving, and comprehension skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks without supervision. Must be highly motivated with an ability to achieve project deadlines. Must have excellent documentation and project management skills. Ability to occasionally travel for off-site troubleshooting or to support project related goals. Must possess excellent customer service skills (e.g., phone etiquette, listening skills, and follow-through, etc.). Must be a team player with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct. Ability to maintain high degree of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality. Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.
