We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Work Site Support Specialist to facilitate work-based learning experiences for high school students enrolled in our Pre-Employment Training - Work Experience Program. Your role will not only provide on-site support and mentorship but also equip these students with essential employability skills through engaging classroom discussions. With your compassion and expertise, you will empower our participants to thrive in competitive integrated work environments.

As a Work Site Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by coordinating work experiences, facilitating on-site support, and delivering soft skills training using ODEP's curriculum. You will be responsible for completing necessary plans, reports, and paperwork, ensuring a seamless experience for our participants.

The Work Site Support Specialist position offers…

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate students' work-based learning experiences within the Pre-Employment Training - Work Experience Program.

  • Facilitate on-site support and integration for students working at identified worksites.

  • Incorporate soft skills training using ODEP's curriculum and facilitate discussions on work experiences.

  • Support students on the worksite, mediating between co-workers and supervisors as necessary.

  • Prepare required plans, reports, and paperwork.

  • Obtain information about students through intake processes and meetings with stakeholders.

  • Coordinate students' new hire paperwork, orientation, and weekly timesheets.

  • Transport students to and from worksites as needed.

  • Report worksite outcomes and student progress to Leadership and referral sources.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Preferred experience in employment services, job coaching, business, sales, human resources, or human services.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect.

  • Completion of New Hire Orientation and Relias training requirements.

  • Must attain and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

  • Ability to read, interpret documents, and write routine reports.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Time management, prioritization, and independent work abilities.

  • Computer and data input skills.
