The individual selected will:
Manage casualty and property claims for all of Bass Pro Group, LLC including Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Retail, Big Cedar Lodge, and Tracker Marine Group
Develop/implement claim investigation and reporting policies, procedures, forms, and processes
Develop, implement, and maintain loss and claim information systems and records
Develop and deliver training for company associates pertaining to claims management
Design and deliver standard internal reports on an established schedule; produce special reports as required
Continuously monitor, research, and obtain education in claims management practices and the legal climate to assure Bass Pro employs a "best practices" approach to organizational claims management.
A college degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a similar field is required. However, equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Professional claim or insurance designations e.g., AIC, ARM a plus. Must have a thorough knowledge of commercial property/casualty insurance concepts/coverage and 8 to 10 years commercial insurance claims management experience such as claim manager or administrator position with a company's headquarters Risk Management department or Insurance carrier is required. Broker/agency claims management or upper level adjuster is also acceptable.
Must have solid work experience with General Liability and Property Workers' Compensation, litigated cases, and trial experience. Strong liability claims management experience is required, multiple line experience is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work well with all levels of people inside and outside the Company is necessary, as is experience working with senior level management.
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. A solid working knowledge of loss runs and claim information systems/risk management information systems and concepts is required.
Must be able to walk on various surfaces and from time to time climb, crawl, squat, etc. during investigations.
Some travel is required.
