\ \ Qualifications\ \
RS&H is currently seeking a Highway Engineer II to join our Transportation Infrastructure Great Lakes Division in either our St. Charles, IL, Chicago, IL, or our Springfield, IL office.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Maryland Professional Engineering (PE) registration or the ability to obtain their PE within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in highway design and plan production with the ability to perform planning, conceptual design, preliminary engineering, and final design activities
- Experience with Bicycle and Pedestrian Facility Design
- Proficiency with Microstation SS4/SS10
- Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer
- Thorough knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), local municipality, and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) policies and procedures;
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
- Working knowledge of 3D workspaces/corridor modeling\
