Acosta Group Labor Demand Forecasting Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Labor Demand Forecasting Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in forecasting and managing labor requirements to ensure optimal staffing levels and operational efficiency, with a focus on enhancing client relationships and delivering exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Labor Demand Forecasting:

  2. Develop and implement labor demand forecasting models and methodologies based on historical data, sales forecasts, seasonal trends, and operational needs.

  3. Utilize workforce management systems, scheduling tools, and statistical analysis to predict staffing requirements accurately.

  4. Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and other relevant teams to gather inputs and insights that inform labor demand forecasts.

  5. Client Relationship Management:

  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients to understand their staffing needs and operational challenges.

  7. Regularly engage with clients to discuss labor demand forecasts, staffing strategies, and operational efficiencies.

  8. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on workforce planning and optimization.

  9. Staffing Optimization:

  10. Optimize labor resources by aligning staffing levels with forecasted demand, operational requirements, and client expectations.

  11. Develop staffing schedules, shift patterns, and workforce deployment strategies that maximize efficiency and meet client service level agreements.

  12. Monitor and adjust staffing plans in real-time to address client-specific needs and maintain high service standards.

  13. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  14. Conduct detailed analysis of labor trends, workforce productivity, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics.

  15. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate labor forecasts, staffing metrics, and performance indicators to senior management and clients.

  16. Implement metrics to measure forecast accuracy and continuously improve forecasting models and processes.

  17. Collaboration and Communication:

  18. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, and other teams to align labor forecasting strategies with business goals and client requirements.

  19. Communicate forecast assumptions, methodologies, and results effectively to internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring alignment and transparency.

  20. Lead discussions and meetings with client teams on labor demand planning, presenting insights and recommendations to drive operational excellence and client satisfaction.

  21. Continuous Improvement:

  22. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance labor forecasting accuracy, streamline scheduling processes, and optimize labor utilization.

  23. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in labor demand forecasting and workforce management.

  24. Implement innovative approaches and technological solutions to improve forecasting capabilities and operational efficiencies, benefiting both internal operations and client outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Statistics, Economics, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in labor demand forecasting, workforce planning, or related roles, preferably in a client-facing environment.

  • Proficiency in workforce management systems, scheduling software, and statistical analysis tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in forecasting and reporting.
