At the broadest level, the Senior Manager, SEO and Content Strategy role brings together distinct expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as well as content strategy to drive brand discovery and optimize the customer journey across omnichannel digital experiences. In this role, you will work closely with our strategists, creative experience designers, developers, and project managers, to ensure efficient and successful execution of digital experience programs. You will help manage ongoing retainer-based SEO and content strategy programs, as well as support net new consulting engagements. Agnostic of technology platform, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing comprehensive SEO and content strategies supporting a variety of business objectives including brand awareness, lead generation and acquisition, customer engagement, loyalty, and advocacy.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage a team and the overall development of the SEO and content competency, inclusive of practitioner development and mentoring, service offerings and capabilities, intellectual capital, and new business development.

  • Define a strategic point-of-view as it relates to SEO and content strategy aligned with the client’s brand, business, and customer goals.

  • Lead the development and execution of SEO campaigns inclusive of on-page optimization strategies as well as technical SEO considerations.

  • Lead the development of project deliverables and measurement of outcomes, in line with the defined SEO and content strategy, starting with the Discovery phase through test and learn cycles as part of a retainer model.

  • Analyze user engagement and content performance as well as other relevant analytics data to identify trends as it relates to customer needs.

  • Perform category reviews to evaluate content needs at an industry and/or competitive level.

  • Conduct content audits to assess and baseline how well existing content is performing in relation to originally defined goals.

  • Perform content gap analyses to identify and understand missing content types as well as gaps in the customers journey to inform the development of future state recommendations.

  • Develop a content inventory to inform activities such as content migration, future state site structure, and the overall information architecture.

  • Ensure that the content strategy reflects the client’s branding best practices while meeting user expectations and complying with search engine protocols, to drive optimal organic awareness for the brand.

What you bring:

  • 8-10 years of SEO and content strategy experience at a reputed agency or consulting firm.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or relevant field.

  • Proven track record of nurturing and growing successful teams.

  • Strong knowledge of analytics platforms, SEO software (e.g., SEMRush, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog) and paid search platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads).

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with content management and customer relationship management systems (e.g., Sitecore, Salesforce).

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and/or Google Docs.

  • Experience with Agile methodology.
