Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, LLC Maintenance Planner in Steelton, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R8309 Cleveland-Cliffs Steelton is seeking a Maintenance Planner in operations at our Harrisburg, PA area operation. As a maintenance planner, you can expect to see your work everywhere; the employees you work with every day help to make the steel that is used in building nations.

In addition to working to support the operating departments, team members may also include safety, quality, and maintenance representatives. You will be able to work independently or with teams to develop improvements and creative solutions while looking for opportunities to develop further in your career. Safety and quality are always the first priorities in Cleveland-Cliffs.

Summary of Responsibilities Track and document all required maintenance projects in the Computerized Maintenance Management System for your respective department. Review planned work orders and determine the most beneficial work plan based on resource availability to align with production requirements and planned outages. Create job packages and supply job instructions, drawings, and safety documents as required for planned work. Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor and Parts/Logistics team to ensure parts and labor are available and ready to complete planned work as required. Compile and monitor performance metrics to measure success and compliance to planned schedules. Assist in the development of databases for Job Safety Analysis, checklists, work scopes, etc. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Two-year technical degree or High School Diploma/GED and technical training from an accredited institution. Minimum of two years of industrial/manufacturing mechanical & electrical maintenance repair activities experience. Background in heavy industrial maintenance, such as steel mill, pulp/paper, oil and gas. Knowledge of hydraulics, water systems, print reading, and machine shop math. Experience with computer-based maintenance systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, and Project.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in planning and coordinating major maintenance outages. Knowledge of Tabware, a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Prior experience in a union environment.
