Candidates looking for a new role via Robert Half in the Sterling Heights, Michigan area as Claim/Mailroom Assistants could be interested in this position. This position will also be responsible for managing and maintaining physical and digital mail-sorting systems. Candidates who can receive and sort mail and packages in a centralized room before distributing the items to appropriate departments and individuals will be interested in this thriving role. What you get to do every day

• Provide help to employees complete diverse projects as necessary

• Ledger, cluster, and/or distribute mail and packages

• Direct clerical tasks like word processing, filing, scanning, archiving, and faxing

• Prepare claims for scanning and entry into the adjudication system

• Data entry of claims, reviewing preprocessing edits, and completing claim forms

• Receive, sort, scan, batch, and distribute a high volume of incoming mail

  Requirements

• We need the person we hire to be flexible and focused

• Comfortable handling office equipment

• Perform general clerical operations tasks that are routine and/or repetitive in nature

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• 1+ years of prior experience working in health benefits or medical administrative role

• Experience with Microsoft Word

• Experience handling medical billing or claims a huge plus

• Data entry experience required

• Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
