MATSYS, Inc. Marketing Intern in Sterling, Virginia

MATSYS, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Intern to support general marketing activities and product development efforts at its three locations in Sterling, VA. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This position will report to the Director of Business Operations.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with marketing material design and copyediting.

Description

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our products/services.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Create and curate engaging content for LinkedIn.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, presentations, etc.
  • Help organize and coordinate marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, and promotional activities.
  • Support the tracking and analysis of marketing metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative ideas and solutions for marketing challenges.
  • Copywriting/editing and product photography support, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a closely-related field.
  • Strong passion for marketing and eagerness to learn about various marketing disciplines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Prior relevant experience.
