Robert Half Financial Analyst in Stockton, California

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst in the Aerospace industry, based in Stockton, California. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and involves the utilization of various skills including Accounting Software Systems, CapEx, and ERP Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis to support the strategic objectives of the Aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews

• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts

• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures

• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization

• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials

• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools

• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps

• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in the Aerospace industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Familiarity with CapEx, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and ERP Solutions is necessary

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) and About Time software is highly desirable

• Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions and Budget Processes

• Experience with Expense Reporting and Finance is essential

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification such as a CPA or CFA is preferred.
